It took a while to get almost everyone...in fact we're probably still not there. But the majority were on board after a couple weeks. I am still using reminding language a lot to reinforce it. Generally for something to stick, it is ME that needs to get fully on board with it and if I am then the students will follow my lead.

The elaboration on nonverbal cues while involving the students shows authentic responsiveness to the community you work with. I suspect that it reinforces more engagement by students more often. What kind of time frame did it take before students started to click with the signal after it was introduced?
